Artist’s Biography: Ragel Rielly

Born on my parent’s farm near Luanda, Angola. One of 14 Siblings, first girl after 8 brothers. When the Civil War broke out in Angola, we fled to Namibia and later moved to Port Alfred.  While at school there, I won a few awards at the Bathurst Show for art. I finished my school Career in Grahamstown and art was compulsory until grade 7. The art teacher at Carinus Art Centre begged me take art as a subject, but I chose typing instead and I regret not listening to the art teacher then. I started painting oils on Canvas in 2009 and discovered that it filled a void in my life.   Married to Jeff Rielly and have 2 sons. Mark the eldest, living in Cape Town is a World Renown Architect and Interior designer and started the Interior Company ARRCC. Clint has a degree in fine art, but  chose a career in Property.  Jeff and I have been self-employed for the past 28 years in Network Marketing with a health Company, Neolife International  which was founded in 1958 with World Class Scientifically proven Wholefood Supplements and also Environmentally friendly cleaning products. They are on a Mission to make the World a Healthier and Happier Place and to end the trend of non-Contagious lifestyle diseases such as Cancer, diabetes, Stroke, Heart Attacks etc.

 My inspiration for this art piece:

My art inspiration with the Bodice for CANSA gives me great satisfaction to play a small part helping those with this dreadful disease in our World.
