Artist’s Biography: Elsa Ross
I am a Biology teacher, currently at Woodridge College. I am blessed with two teenage boys that are very close to my heart. I have two dogs, three chickens and many fish. I am a qualified reflexologist and a qualified yoga instructor for children.
I love nature and find my peace and tranquility there. I love the ocean, swimming, paddling and mountain biking. I am passionate about helping others and making their lives better albeit in a very small way.
I have lost family very close to my heart due to cancer and I will endeavour to support CANSA in any way possible to help fund research but also to support the care they give to all of those affected.
My inspiration for this art piece:
BODY – the back – hands trying to hold on and arms trying to carry all the sadness, trauma,
wrongs, loss, lies and pain of this world.
- The Front – the breasts, flower is representing beauty, the heart – bronze contrasts with dark green and the busy images on the back, the lights and the fine layer over the heart represents delicateness of the heart.
MIND – The black plastic wire in an obscured shape of a question mark (Reversed question
mark) Represents the ironic contradictions of life. Sometimes this overpowering
SOUL – The heart radiates out – represented by the copper wire and the little lights.
The soul surrounds, engulfs the MIND and the BODY it is GOD our CREATOR
His love and light heal, surrounds, protects, saves.
Life itself present us with challenges but it is only with God that we can survive.
